The world of bespoke men’s shoes

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Maison Corthay, we offer you an immersion in the world of made-to-measure shoes. Discover the creative process and unique skillset behind this bootmaker. Encounter with the artist, his wooden molds are tailor-made and he sources from the highest cuts of leathers.

You will be welcomed by Pierre Corthay himself, a master bootmaker or by a member of the atelier for an exclusive tour of the workshop. The atmosphere in this small atelier is both woody and opulent, allowing you to live a real sensory experience as you marvel at the displays of leathers, ranging from calf, ostrich, elephant, python and crocodile skins! Striking a delicate balance between purpose and aesthetics, you will learn that a shoe requires months of work and can be made of up to 250 components. From the upper, the vamp, the sole, the back, to the eyelets, every piece has been carefully considered and adapted to the wearer.

1889's crush of the month

The Eiffel Tower, hosts on its first floor a functional wine storehouse, until March 2020. It marks the return of a local wine industry in the capital. By installing its vats and barrels on the Eiffel Tower, La Winerie Parisienne defines itself as the signatory of the return of professional viticulture in Paris.  You also have the opportunity to settle in the adjoining Parisian Bubble to taste the wines. As for the wines vinified on the 1st floor, they will be available in 2020. A more than original vintage that will be bottled (approximately 2,000) on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower in a few months.
