Summer 2020 is shaping up to be an exception for travelers: we need to dream after so many anxious weeks and the most touristic destinations have never been so beautiful, far from the crowds. This is the reason why at 1889 Travel France we decided to inspire you with some parts of the country we love. We created itineraries all over France, to make you dream of your (hopefully near) future holidays. Let's (re)discover France together this summer, with these sometimes cliché, sometimes off-the-beaten tracks itineraries, all highly customizable.
Today, let’s begin with…. PARIS!
Paris attracts millions of visitors every year because few cities can rival its historical, architectural, gastronomic, and cultural heritage. It is also a city full of romanticism where you are sure to find poetry in its cobbled streets, its quays, its bridges. This is now time for the two of you to (re)discover the intimate and romantic Paris and its well-kept secrets, far from the crowds.
/ DAY 1 - 3: Head, heart or base note ; these terms will have no secrets for you after this romantic, bespoke and totally private sensory journey in one of the most famous luxury perfume brand. You will also take part in a private pastry class in a typical Parisian apartment for an immersive experience in French art de vivre and savoir-faire.
/ DAY 4 - 5: It's time to create and anchor memories! Parisian hotels, monuments and streets are perfect spots to immortalize your stay in the capital with a black & white photo session with a professional photographer. You will also enjoy a private tasting of some Grands Crus Classés wines in front of an iconic monument. Imagine an exceptional set up, a private sommelier and an amazing view: what else do you need? And to conclude your Parisian escapade, what about tasting a glass of champagne on a private cruise aboard a vintage Riva on the Seine river at sunset? With your personal captain, you will discover the most emblematic monuments from the Seine (optional).

Looking for a nice place to chill out this summer? What about an open-air new generation restaurant in Paris? The young, famous, and talented French Chef Alexia Duchêne has opened a street-food terrace until September 27th at the trendy Wanderlust! Wanderlust is a trendy Parisian spot and you will fall under the spell of the freshly revised set up of the terrace with its large space of 1500m2, and its breathtaking view of the Seine!

What about cooking with the Chef? For all those who love gastronomy, this is an amazing experience in which you will have the chance to meet Alexia Duchêne for a very private cooking class! Alexia Duchêne has been candidate of Top Chef 2019, her determination and her creativity has been outstanding. Don’t miss this unique opportunity!
What's new?
- Experience an immersive journey in the heart of Pompeii, through a 360° 3D projection at the Grand Palais with the Pompeii Exhibition (July 1st to September 27th). Combining technology and archaeology, the exhibition tells the fascinating story of this City.
- Only 10 days left to taste some French (one of a kind) pastry made by François Perret, official pastry chef of the Ritz Paris. The Palace welcomes you at its pop-up corner until July 31st, and you'll love the American pastries revisited by the chef!
- Enjoy a timeless candlelit evening at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, for a dreamlike experience until October. You will (re)discover the castle and the gardens under the light of thousands of candles.
- For its reopening next autumn, the Paris Fashion Museum will devote an exhibition to Coco Chanel. This is the first French retrospective exhibition dedicated to Gabrielle Chanel, in a dedicated space of 1500m2.
